Research Interests

Stallings' research focuses on understanding and improving self-management behaviors (i.e., diet, exercise, sleep, medication adherence, and stress management) of hypertension in African Americans. Her goal is to conduct community-based interventions to improve hypertension self-management in underserved populations. She is developing a hypertension self-management mobile health app called Pressure Points to assist with hypertension self-management and to improve hypertension disparities.
